Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Kompeta (“Kompeta,” “we,” “us”), an independent study and practice platform. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Kompeta.

Kompeta provides practice questions, mock competition rounds, skill drills, and study tools to help students prepare for HOSA – Future Health Professionals competitive events. It is a study aid only. We are an independent platform and are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by HOSA – Future Health Professionals. References to HOSA events are descriptive and based on publicly available competition information.

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity on your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information (such as your state and chapter) and to keep it current.
• One account is for one person; do not share accounts.
• You must be old enough to use the service as described in our Privacy Policy.

• Kompeta offers a free tier, a time-limited free trial, and paid Pro plans ($5/month or $35/year).
• Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
• You can cancel anytime from the billing portal; cancellation stops future renewals and your Pro access continues until the end of the paid period.
• Prices may change; we will give notice of changes that affect your current subscription before they take effect.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us.

You agree not to:

• Copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute our questions, content, or materials.
• Share, resell, or provide unauthorized access to your account or the service.
• Attempt to break, probe, or bypass the security of the platform or other users’ accounts.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that disrupts it for others.

The practice questions, skill content, written materials, design, and software of Kompeta are our property and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use them for your own study while your account is in good standing. “HOSA” and related names and marks are the property of their respective owners; our use is descriptive only.

Kompeta is a preparation tool. We do not guarantee any particular competition result, score, ranking, or advancement. Health-related content is provided for educational and test-preparation purposes only and is not medical advice. Always follow official HOSA guidelines and your instructor’s direction for current competition rules.

We work to keep Kompeta available and accurate, but we provide the service “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kompeta will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost results or opportunities, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You may stop using Kompeta and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
